Raise A Glass To...Monica!

Monica had been a regular patron of Green Bench, and of Postcard Pils, long before she joined the tasting room staff. During that time, and ever since, she has fostered close relationships across the entire team, from ownership and management to production, sales, and front-of-house staff.

“She truly felt like a Green Bench member well before it was official. Naturally fitting in is a gift of hers. She can cast a wide net and nurture lasting friendships. She's enthusiastic and eager to share. And like others, Monica contributes to the cultural fabric of Green Bench, establishing herself as a familiar presence behind and in front of the bar, while also executing a passion project, Cinema in the Cellar, where she explores her love of film and community,” says Co-Owner Khris.

Speaking of her passion project, Monica has hosted Cinema In The Cellar in partnership with Zach Howard and Green Light Cinema for nearly a year and a half. The monthly film showcase in Webb’s City Cellar has been so successful that it recently expanded across the bridge to Tampa’s beloved La Setima Club, highlighting Monica’s love for all things Tampa Bay. She enthusiastically shares her favorite Florida establishments, beer and wine, film, and music - and never misses a chance to sing the praises of one of our flagship beers, Postcard Pils.

“As I got to know Monica, I quickly discovered her love of things. She is passionate to a T about sharing anything she enjoys, from her favorite beer to the most recent film she’s watched. She wears her heart on her sleeve in every regard. Happy to recommend your next date night spot or a band you’ll have on repeat, she is an ambassador for Tampa Bay and its spaces. Previously coming from La Setima, Monica brought with her a knowledge of wine that she now pairs with her love of beer - a combination perfectly suited for both of our tasting rooms, where you can find her weekly,” says General Manager Connor.

Monica’s diverse range of interests makes her a natural fit for bartending at Green Bench and Webb’s City Cellar. From pilsners to mixed-culture ales to cider to wine, she knows just what libation will suit any guest’s needs. Her passion for people and culture elevates the experience for everyone who walks through our doors and brings connection to every corner of Green Bench.
