General Manager – Tasting Room & Hospitality
Location: Pinellas County, Florida
Company: Established, high-volume regional brewery (Top 3 by volume in Florida)
Position Overview
We are a high-volume, production brewery with a three-bar tasting room concept located at our primary production facility. As one of the top breweries in the state of Florida, our tasting room plays a critical role in brand expression, revenue generation, and community engagement.
We are seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven General Manager – Tasting Room & Hospitality to lead all aspects of tasting room operations. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience while owning the operational, financial, and cultural performance of the tasting room. The General Manager serves as the senior leader for front-of-house hospitality and acts as a key liaison between ownership, production, marketing, events, and retail. The ideal candidate will demonstrate eagerness and readiness to assume leadership of additional bar or hospitality concepts as the business grows, with the ability to scale teams, systems, and operational standards across multiple concepts.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven operator who can balance people, process, and performance in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing tasting room team of up to 20+ employees across a multi-bar operation
Establish and uphold a culture rooted in hospitality, accountability, teamwork, and professionalism
Hire, train, coach, and performance-manage staff, including providing clear expectations, ongoing feedback, and corrective action when necessary
Develop leadership depth by mentoring leads and supervisors to support daily operations
Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment for guests, staff, and the broader community
Guest Experience & Brand Stewardship
Own the end-to-end guest experience across all three bars, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and hospitality at all times
Serve as a visible leader on the floor during peak periods, events, and high-volume service
Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment
Ensure staff are knowledgeable, confident ambassadors of our beers, ciders, and brand
Collaborate with marketing and events teams to execute releases, events, and brand activations
Operations & Systems
Oversee all tasting room operations, including staffing models, scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and service standards
Own the POS system, including configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, and acting as the primary point of contact for support and maintenance
Manage inventory, ordering, and supply levels for bar, retail, and operational needs
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal alcohol regulations, safety standards, and internal policies
Maintain clear documentation, SOPs, and operational consistency across all shifts and bars
Financial & Performance Accountability
Own tasting room financial performance, including revenue, labor efficiency, and controllable expenses
Analyze sales data, labor reports, and expense trends to maintain target margins
Develop staffing and scheduling strategies that align with volume patterns, seasonality, and events
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics on a regular cadence
Identify, test, and measure new initiatives using real data to drive continuous improvement
Partner with ownership on forecasting, goal setting, and long-term operational strategy
Training & Development
Ensure consistent onboarding and ongoing training for all tasting room staff
Schedule and oversee regular beer education sessions in collaboration with the production team
Maintain high standards of service, knowledge, product accuracy, and guest engagement
Build training systems that scale with the business and support staff growth
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with production, marketing, events, and leadership teams to align priorities and execution
Communicate clearly and proactively across departments to ensure smooth operations and shared goals
Represent tasting room operations in leadership discussions and planning meetings
Qualifications & Experience
4–5+ years of experience managing high-volume hospitality operations (brewery, bar, restaurant, or similar)
Proven experience leading teams of 15–30+ employees in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of hospitality operations, labor management, and guest experience design
Passion for craft beer and cider, with a working knowledge of styles and a desire to continue learning
Basic understanding of the brewing process (or demonstrated ability to learn quickly)
Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and sales reporting
Comfortable analyzing data and using metrics to drive decisions
Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office; familiarity with tools like Canva and Untappd is a plus
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Description: A territory manager at Green Bench Brewing Co. is responsible for growing sales of our brand within their selected distributor footprints, executing with retailers, and building relationships with both. You will spend ~90% of your time in market.
· Build and maintain relationships with your distributor and wholesale sales team
Be the face and name for our brewery within your distribution footprint
Grow relationships within all levels of your wholesale partners to help increase our sales and be top of mind
Control inventory levels with distributors, ensuring the quality of beer and management of date coded supply
Compile and submit reports on the market to management team and distributors
Daily use of CRM Software (Karma), recording account visits
Sales reports weekly using VIP
Setup lunches, meetings, ride-alongs, and happy hours with your distribution teams
Ensure Green Bench Brewing Co. standards are executed & understood at the distributor level
· Build and maintain relationships with all retail accounts
Call on existing account base within territory
Identify and solicit new business both On-Premise & Off-Premise to drive future growth
Setup and execute promotional events and activities within accounts
Setup promotional displays and tasting within accounts
Staff Education at new and existing accounts
Creatively come up with new strategies to showcase our brand and connect with retailers and customers
· Essential responsibilities and requirements
Associates degree or any combination of comparable skills and knowledge
Bachelors degree preferred
Self-motivated and ability to work with limited direction, ability to work both independently and with a team to accomplish goals
Alcohol Wholesaler experience preferred
Previous sales experience preferred
Willingness to learn all processes of brewing beer at Green Bench Brewing Co., as well as understand our products
Knowledge of 3 Tier System preferred
Strong sales skills, and people skills
Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and presentation skills
Operate effectively within a budget
Work with a flexible schedule
Job will require some nights and weekends each month
Driver's License with a driving record free of any major violations in the last three years upon hire required
Able to drive long distances daily covering your market
