Raise A Glass To...Abigail!
When Abigail joined the Green Bench family, she brought with her a spark that was impossible to miss. Her warmth, curiosity, and dedication quickly made her a beloved presence behind the bar—and a true friend to co-workers and regulars alike. What began as a part-time bartending role while she pursued her Doctorate in Volcanology soon blossomed into a staple across both our Main Tasting Room and Webb’s City Cellar.
Balancing demanding coursework with busy shifts, Abigail showed an extraordinary ability to be fully present, offering genuine hospitality to every guest while steadily working toward her academic dreams. “Even with a full course load, she was eager to learn all the inner workings of Green Bench,” shares General Manager Connor. “If you’ve ever crossed paths with our Magma Maven, you were greeted with a warm smile and an invitation to experience true hospitality.”
Throughout her time here, Abigail has made it a priority to ensure guests feel seen, welcomed, and cared for. Owner Nathan adds, “We've always been impressed by her ability to focus on our customers and the job at hand, all while striving to complete her education. She has consistently been an outgoing, joyful, and helpful face behind the bar, elevating the Green Bench experience.”
For Abigail, the feeling is mutual. She reflects, “Green Bench encourages everyone to stay curious and dive into the process of making beer and cider. We’re given the time and knowledge to really understand the craft. The brewery is also a community hub that brings people together through inclusive, creative events—there’s usually something for everyone’s taste. I’ve found real and deep friendships here, from my manager to coworkers to regulars. And it’s where I met Victor.”
As Abigail sets her sights on new adventures beyond the brewery walls, we couldn’t be prouder to have been part of her journey.
Thanks for pulling double duty so gracefully, Dr. Martens!
